There are some things you can do that aren't really smart when you're job searching - like tweeting that you hate your job or sending all your LinkedIn connections, including, by mistake, your boss a message saying that you're job hunting.
Interview mistakes run the gamut - from attempting a phone interview with baby in hand or wearing a really bad interview outfit or not having a clue what the company you're interviewing with does.
There are others that aren't as major, like a typo in your resume, that can hinder your job search, too.
On the other hand, there are success stories out there. Job seekers have innovated, have tapped their connections, and have been creative when job seeking in a tough job market.
