First there were pink slips as in layoffs, then pink slip parties, and now there is a pink slip ski pass for those who don't think they'll have a job during ski season. It's also available for Tahoe skiers who are employed, but looking for a bargain.
Mt. Rose is offering an Unrestricted Season Pass (the Pink Slip) for as low as $333 before October 1st - to everyone, you don't have to be laid-off to get it. Even better, unlike some special deals, the Pink Slip Pass is valid every single day of the season, including weekends and holidays with no blackout dates. There's also special offers for seniors, super seniors, teens, and college students.
On the other hand, if you're a skier who would like to work during ski season, ski resorts are hiring already. CoolWorks has a long list of ski resorts with openings for this season. By the way, many of those jobs include a free season pass, and even free rental equipment and lessons. Some include benefits. So, if you're out of work, a ski season job is another option for earning a paycheck - and getting to ski free.
