There was an article in the New York Times the other day about people who spent thousands of dollars for job search help and got nothing for their money. It can be easy, I suppose, to get sucked into something like that, but there were definitely some red flags including the fact that one company offered to provide job listings direct from company web sites for a large fee. There are other job sites (like Hound.com) that offer the same - for a price. That's money you don't need to spend - and shouldn't spend.
What's really important to know is that you can get the exact same job listings direct from company sites absolutely free using LinkUp, Indeed.com, SimplyHired.com and the other job search engines.
That said, it can be confusing to know where to find good resources and how to know what's good advice - and what isn't. However, if you're confused, don't worry. I have plenty of resources to get you started, to get your job search on track, and to help you with every step of the process to find a new job.
