Twitter and Job Searching

I'm interested in hearing from anyone who is using Twitter as part of their job search and how it is working.  I know that One Day One Internship has found listings on Twitter and I know there are recruiters and job sites using it, so your feedback would be appreciated for an upcoming article.  And, just in case you have an interested in following me on Twitter, you can find me here: Twitter / Alison Doyle.

I know of recruiters that track certain keywords or phrases related to their clients. Anyone that twitters that is picked up. For example, a tech recruiter tracks "Ruby, C++, Javascript, etc."

Hi Alison,

Twitter has certainly been a valuable tool for finding jobs and internships for One Day, One Job and One Day, One Internship.

I'm not sure that it's a tool worth using solely for job search, as it might alienate the people who are posting opportunities.

I use http://www.tweetscan.com to do my searches, and it has been great.
