My Offices
I was sitting in the Mount Washington Resort the other day working on my laptop and looking at the awesome (in the literal sense of the word) Presidential Mountain Range. I was chatting with a woman who told me she liked my office. I liked it, too and it's really nice that I can do what I do from anywhere. We were in New Hampshire because my husband, Mike, About.com's Skiing Guide received the North American Snowsports Journalists Association (NASJA) 2007 Harold S. Hirsch Award for Internet Writing, which is the top award in his industry.
He's also provided me some other nice offices this ski season. I spent some time with a view of Aspen Mountain and of the village of Megeve, France. One of my favorite offices is at our place in Killington - it's quiet and peaceful and full of light. As long as I have internet access (preferably wireless) I can work from wherever - even stuck in an airport somewhere along the way.
Work from home jobs - or work from anywhere jobs - aren't always easy to find, but when you're lucky enough to be able to do that, it's certainly adds value to working (and your personal) life.
